Key features of the SAT:

1. Sections:
The SAT consists of three main sections:
- Evidence-Based Reading and Writing: This section evaluates reading comprehension and writing skills through reading passages and grammar-related questions.
- Math: Tests your mathematical skills, including algebra, geometry, and data analysis.
- Essay (Optional): The essay section assesses your ability to analyze a given source and construct a coherent, well-structured response.

2. Scoring:
The SAT has a total score range of 400 to 1600, with the Math and Evidence-Based Reading and Writing sections each scored from 200 to 800. The optional Essay is scored separately.

3. Test Dates:
The SAT is offered multiple times throughout the year, allowing students to choose a date that suits their schedule.

4. Preparation:
Many students prepare for the SAT through practice tests, study guides, and test preparation courses. The College Board provides official practice materials and resources.

5. College Admissions:
SAT scores are one component of a college application, along with factors such as high school GPA, extracurricular activities, recommendation letters, and essays. Many colleges consider SAT scores as part of their admissions process, although some schools have moved to test-optional or test-flexible policies.

6. SAT Subject Tests:
The SAT Subject Tests are hour-long, content-specific tests that some colleges may require or recommend. They provide students with an opportunity to showcase their knowledge in specific subjects like Math, Science, History, Literature, and languages.

It is important to conduct thorough research on the admission requirements of the colleges you are interested in, in order to determine whether they require or recommend SAT scores. It is worth noting that certain colleges and universities have adopted test-optional admissions policies, granting students the choice of whether to include standardized test scores as part of their application.

On the day of the exam, you will need to bring an international passport as a form of identification.
To adequately prepare for the SAT examination, it is recommended to dedicate at least two months of focused preparation.
